Odro is only accessible on foot!
The hike starts just above the village of Vogorno. Odro is reachable following a well-developed and beautifully embedded trail that twists and winds through chestnut and birch tree forests. It takes about 2 to 3 hours to overcome the 700 meters altitude. That, of course, depends on your pace.
By public transport: Direction Lugano / Milano, in Bellinzona change to the S20 in the direction of Locarno. In Tenero change to post bus number 321 in direction Sonogno. Get off at the Sant Antonio stop in Vogorno. From there, walk past the church on your left, straight through the village until you see the yellow signpost "Odro". From this point, the trail is well sign posted with the well-known yellow signposts.
May the hike begin! Enjoy the journey through forests and meadows, past the tiny village of Stavello, to Odro.
By car: In Vogorno take a sharp right immediately after the yellow restaurant "Pizzo Vogorno", keep right at the next junction, do not let the sign "dead end" distract you! Drive up the narrow road through the village until you see 6 parking spaces on the right. If they are all taken, drive approximately 500 meters further up the hill., There are more parking spaces on the right hand side. Put your hiking boots on and embark on the journey through forests and meadows, past the tiny village of Stavello, to Odro.
