Arrival & Journey

By car

Highway-Exit Bellinzona South. Direction Locarno till direction sign Valle Verzasca. In the Verzasca-Valley until Vogorno.

Guests with a private Car turn approx. 50 meters after the restaurant Pizzo Vogorno to the right following the street, parking on the marked spots in the leaflet. Then follow the yellow direction-signs showing you the way to Odro.

By train, hiking

Train to Bellinzona. Change train in Bellinzona to Locarno. In Locarno take the public transportation direction Valle Verzasca station Verzasca-Sognono. Get off at the station Vogorno Ristorante Pizzo Vogorno.

Hikers arriving on public transportation follow the yellow direction-signs which are positioned after the little staircases past the restaurant Pizzo Vogorno. Further direction-signs will lead you to Odro.

Biking

Bikers turn left in Gordola direction Verzasca.

Hike time

The difference in altitude is 740 meters, if you start your hike in Vogorno.

Vogorno lays 500 m, Odro 1240 m above sea level. You should calculate 1 1/2 to 2 hours, according your fitness and the weight of your backpack you have to carry. The trail is sometimes steep, but well maintained, beautiful and wildly romantic.
